The London Stock Exchange today welcomed Seraphim Space Investment Trust (SSIT) to open the Market, marking its recent entry into the FTSE 250 following the successful completion of a £137 million C Share raise. Together, these milestones reflect the Company’s growth since listing in July 2021 and the increasing recognition of SpaceTech as an investable sector.
In less than five years, SSIT has evolved from the world’s first listed SpaceTech investment company into a FTSE 250 constituent and one of the world’s leading specialist SpaceTech investors. SSIT has enabled both institutional and retail investors to participate in the growth of some of the world’s most innovative SpaceTech companies, many of which are unlisted and would otherwise be inaccessible through traditional investment channels.

As SSIT’s portfolio has matured, demonstrating critical real-world applications, achieving significant commercial traction and generating substantial value creation, it has delivered strong growth in its underlying asset value, including a NAV total return of 76.3% over the past 12 months (to 31 March 2026).
The recent C Share issue attracted support from a diverse range of investors, including approximately £45 million from retail investors, underlining growing demand for access to the SpaceTech sector and the role public markets can play in broadening participation in its growth.

Will Whitehorn OBE, Chair of Seraphim Space Investment Trust plc, said:
“A new industrial revolution is underway in the space economy. The companies SSIT has invested in are helping to build the critical infrastructure of the future, creating the communications, intelligence, security and data networks that will increasingly support humanity’s economic activity both on Earth and beyond. We are grateful for the continued support of our shareholders and believe SSIT is exceptionally well positioned to participate in the significant opportunities this transformation presents.”
Mark Boggett, Chief Executive Officer, Seraphim Space Manager LLP, said:
“The fundraise and inclusion in the FTSE 250 reflect both the progress SSIT has made since listing and the growing recognition of SpaceTech as a strategically important and increasingly investable sector. Across our portfolio, we are seeing strong momentum in businesses operating across defence and security, critical infrastructure, communications, intelligence and climate monitoring. As commercial and sovereign demand continue to converge, we believe the sector is entering a new phase of growth and value creation.
Today is an opportunity to celebrate how far SSIT has come, but even more importantly to look ahead to the next chapter in the growth of both SSIT and the wider SpaceTech sector.”
