Seraphim Named Among 10 Hottest Satellite Companies

Written by: Leah Martin | March 5, 2026

TL;DR / Executive Summary

  • Via Satellite has named Seraphim Space among its “10 Hottest Companies in Satellite for 2026”, alongside portfolio company Voyager Technologies.
  • The list highlights organisations shaping the satellite sector through scalable infrastructure, security capabilities, and commercial growth.
  • Voyager Technologies has been recognised for strong momentum following expansion across national security and space infrastructure programmes.
  • The recognition reflects the growing role of specialist space investors as the industry enters a new phase of consolidation and execution.

Via Satellite has published its annual “10 Hottest Companies in Satellite for 2026” list, highlighting the organisations its editors see as the industry’s key “must watch” names for the year ahead. Seraphim was included alongside Voyager Technologies, one of our portfolio companies.

Notably, Seraphim was the only investor recognised in the list, which otherwise features operating companies across the satellite value chain, including Planet Labs, Airbus, Thales, Leonardo, IonQ, Viasat and more. The selection reflects the critical importance of specialist capital in scaling the next generation of space companies.

Voyager Technologies: building momentum into 2026

Via Satellite’s inclusion of Voyager Technologies reflects a company entering 2026 with strong momentum following a major 2025 and continued expansion of capability. The company has strengthened its position through acquisitions across propulsion, optical communications, and other critical technologies aligned with government demand.

Voyager is also a leading partner in the Starlab commercial space station programme, which aims to support the future of human presence in low Earth orbit following the retirement of the ISS.

We are proud to back Voyager as it continues to expand its role across both commercial and national security space infrastructure.

Why Seraphim was recognised

Via Satellite described Seraphim as synonymous with “gold standard investing” in the satellite sector. That recognition reflects more than a decade spent building one of the world’s most specialised space investment platforms.

Our portfolio includes companies across satellite communications, Earth observation, navigation, in-orbit services, and critical infrastructure, with businesses such as ICEYE, D-Orbit, AST SpaceMobile, HawkEye 360, Pixxel, Xona Space Systems, Skylo, and ALL.SPACE helping define the next phase of the space economy.

A defining feature of this generation of space companies is the increasing convergence between commercial innovation and national security capability. Dual-use technologies such as SAR data, RF geolocation, resilient navigation, and space-based communications are becoming critical components of modern defence and security architectures.

Artificial intelligence is also reshaping the satellite economy. From automated Earth observation analytics to in-orbit data processing and AI-enabled geospatial intelligence, the next wave of value creation will come from companies that combine advanced hardware with software and AI capabilities. The increasing convergence between AI and space is becoming clearer across the technology landscape, including developments such as the integration of xAI and SpaceX. As AI systems scale globally, space infrastructure will play a critical role by providing the connectivity, data generation, and distributed compute platforms that enable intelligence at planetary scale.

Identifying and supporting these category-defining businesses early has been central to Seraphim’s investment strategy.

The signal from the 2026 list

This year’s selection places Seraphim in the same conversation as several of the most closely watched organisations in the satellite sector. The companies highlighted span connectivity, Earth observation, defence-linked capabilities, and large-scale infrastructure development.

Taken together, the list reflects a market entering a more consequential phase of growth and consolidation. Execution, customer demand, and strategic capability are becoming the defining factors of success.

Recognising the people building the sector

Via Satellite’s March issue also includes “Celebrating Women in Satellite 2026,” where Ellie Gyaurova of Seraphim’s Enterprise team was recognised for her work supporting founders through the Seraphim and Generation Space Accelerator. Her work focuses on helping early-stage companies develop product-market fit, strengthen partnerships, and prepare for fundraising.

The feature also recognises Ecosmic‘s Imane Marouf, one of our Accelerator alumni.
