Tomorrow.io Hits 60-Minute Revisit with Full Satellite Set

Written by: Leah Martin | January 15, 2026

TL;DR / Executive Summary

  • Tomorrow.io, a Seraphim portfolio company, has completed its first weather satellite constellation, achieving a 60-minute global revisit rate.
  • Enabled by its 10th and 11th microwave sounder satellites, the system provides real-time atmospheric data at lower cost and faster deployment than traditional methods.
  • This advancement supports more accurate weather forecasting, storm tracking, and early warnings worldwide.
  • The milestone strengthens Tomorrow.io’s role in AI-driven weather intelligence and global resilience infrastructure.

Tomorrow.io, the world’s leading Resilience Platform™, today announced it has achieved a 60-minute global weather revisit rate with the completion of its satellite constellation. The milestone fundamentally reshapes the economics and scalability of space-based weather observations, enabling more frequent atmospheric insight and unlocking new capabilities for forecasting, early warning, and resilience worldwide.

Enabled by the launch of Tomorrow.io’s 10th and 11th microwave sounder satellites, this milestone brings the constellation to unprecedented global scan rates that historically required billions of dollars, decades of deployment, and national-scale space programs. Tomorrow.io achieved this cadence at a fraction of the time and cost by vertically integrating space hardware, proprietary data, AI-driven modeling, and decision intelligence into a single end-to-end system.

“Reaching a 60-minute global revisit rate fundamentally changes what’s possible with weather intelligence,” said Shimon Elkabetz, CEO and Co-Founder of Tomorrow.io. “It means the atmosphere can be monitored continuously rather than intermittently, providing the real-time signal needed to improve forecasts, anticipate extreme events, and support more resilient decisions at global scale.”

Tomorrow.io’s path to this achievement began with its Pathfinder mission in May 2023, which validated its space-to-decision architecture. The company launched its first operational microwave sounders in August 2024, which have since demonstrated consistently strong on-orbit performance. Today, Tomorrow.io provides the majority of global microwave sounder data available at any given moment, supporting improved medium-range weather forecasts, enhanced global precipitation nowcasting, and more frequent space-based storm intensity tracking. Together, these applications establish the constellation as a critical contributor to the global weather data ecosystem.

The completion of phase one also comes at a pivotal moment for artificial intelligence. As AI systems increasingly rely on real-time, high-fidelity physical-world data, Tomorrow.io’s constellation delivers the foundational signal required to advance next-generation forecasting and impact-based decision-making. By tightly coupling space-based observations with proprietary AI models and customer-facing workflows, Tomorrow.io translates raw atmospheric data directly into operational insight across industries.

With phase one complete, Tomorrow.io has established itself as core infrastructure for the future of weather intelligence, global resilience, and AI-powered decision-making, laying the foundation for continued constellation expansion.
