SpaceWERX, the commercial outreach division of the U.S. Space Force, has awarded Strategic Funding Increase (STRATFI) agreements to eight companies, totaling $440 million in combined government and private investment. Among the recipients are our portfolio companies, LeoLabs and Xona Space Systems, recognized for their innovative contributions to space technology.

LeoLabs specializes in space monitoring and will utilize the STRATFI funding to deploy a next-generation radar site in the Indo-Pacific region. This initiative aims to enhance the tracking and management of space debris, thereby improving the safety and sustainability of satellite operations.

Xona Space Systems is developing PULSAR™, a high-performance satellite navigation and timing service delivered through a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites. The STRATFI agreement will support Xona in advancing this technology, which promises to provide robust and precise navigation services crucial for autonomous systems and other applications.

These partnerships underscore SpaceWERX’s commitment to fostering innovative solutions that address critical challenges in space operations and navigation.
