ALL.SPACE Secures €3.42M ESA Grant to Accelerate 5G Satellite Integration

Written by: Leah Martin | July 23, 2025

ALL.SPACE, a leading provider of multi-orbit, multi-link SATCOM platforms, has been awarded €3.42 million in funding from the European Space Agency (ESA) through its Space for 5G/6G and Sustainable Connectivity strategic programme line under the ARTES (Advanced Research in Telecommunications Systems) initiative.

The funding will accelerate development of integrated 5G Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) capabilities within ALL.SPACE’s next-generation terminal platform, advancing the UK’s ambitions for space innovation, sovereign capability, and secure global communications.

As part of the project, ALL.SPACE will integrate a software-defined 5G NTN modem from NXGSAT BV into its edge-compute-enabled terminal, enabling seamless interoperability between traditional satellite networks and 5G NTN from a single user device.

The initiative is anchored at ESA’s 5G/6G Hub in the UK and supports a broader drive to converge satellite and cellular networks, creating future-proof solutions for government and commercial users.

This project also marks the next phase of growth for ALL.SPACE, building on early backing from investors, who recognised the company’s potential to redefine satellite communications through flexible, high-performance platforms.

John-Paul Szczepanik, CTO at ALL.SPACE, said:

“This funding marks a significant milestone in our mission to deliver fast, resilient and secure communications anywhere on Earth. By integrating emerging 5G NTN standards into our platform, we’re pushing the boundaries of what satellite terminals can achieve, truly unlocking global interoperability.”

ESA’s Director of Connectivity and Secure Communications, Laurent Jaffart, added:

“Partnering with pioneering space companies like ALL.SPACE allows us to advance European autonomy and resilience while boosting economic growth, job creation, and competitiveness.”

The project supports the UK’s National and Space Strategies and underlines ESA’s continued commitment to supporting scalable, sovereign technologies. It also paves the way for ALL.SPACE to expand into a hybrid model that blends best-in-class hardware with subscription-based software services, enhancing operational independence, flexibility, and long-term value for users worldwide.
