ICEYE and The Water Institute partner to advance the next generation of predictive flood intelligence

The partnership will bring FloodID, the Institute’s predictive flood intelligence platform, and its core development team to ICEYE, expanding the company’s end-to-end flood intelligence capabilities for governments, re/insurers, and emergency management organizations in the US. Developed at The Water Institute, FloodID combines physics-based hydrologic modeling, physics-guided artificial intelligence, Earth observation data and cloud computing to help organizations anticipate how flood events are likely to evolve from onset through recession. Through this partnership, FloodID will complement ICEYE's existing portfolio of flood intelligence solutions, adding new predictive modeling capabilities while building on ICEYE's established leadership in satellite-based flood observation and early warning.

ICEYE strengthens Korea presence with new entity and local leadership

As part of this, Eric Rhee has been appointed Head of ICEYE Korea. ICEYE also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Seoul National University (SNU) to explore joint research and education in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) Earth observation, small satellites, and AI-based satellite operations. ICEYE Korea, established in June 2026, extends the company's presence in Asia. Its immediate priority is helping Korea's defense and intelligence customers access advanced ISR capabilities, alongside broader support for the country's growing space and defense ecosystem through technology validation, supply-chain participation, and talent development.

ICEYE establishes Netherlands entity, deepening long-term commitment with the Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force

ICEYE already delivers SAR (synthetic aperture radar) intelligence to the Royal Netherlands Air and Space Force through a growing multi-satellite constellation. This has been combined with expanding and innovative solutions in the ground segment and data analytics systems. ICEYE Netherlands will build on this operational relationship, and its technology hub will support on-the-ground engineering capacity, NLDTIB co-development, defence stakeholder engagement, and space readiness training. It marks ICEYE’s ambition to move from being a European provider of systems to a national partner in technology and capability, embedded in the Netherlands Defence Technological Industrial Base.

NASA Selects PiLogic to Advance Spacecraft Fault Detection with Exact AI

The six-month award will fund development of Manifest, PiLogic's onboard diagnostic system, across three spacecraft subsystems: electrical power, thermal management, and attitude control. The goal is to give spacecraft the ability to detect and reason about failures its current rule-based systems aren’t able to catch, including failures that spread from one subsystem into another.

Tomorrow.io Awarded $49 Million NOAA Contract to Lead the Earth Prediction Innovation Center

NOAA has awarded Tomorrow.io a five-year, $49M single-award IDIQ to provide weather modeling support for the Earth Prediction Innovation Center (EPIC), the program responsible for advancing U.S. numerical weather prediction and moving research into operations faster. Tomorrow.io was selected from a field of 13 bidders and will serve as prime contractor, a step up from the company's role supporting EPIC in its first phase.

LeoLabs Awarded Contract to Deliver Defense Test Capability in Support of U.S. Space Force
