Seraphim is proud to congratulate our Seraphim Space Investment Trust (SSIT) Non Executive Chairman, Will Whitehorn, on being awarded an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) in King Charles III’s Birthday Honors list, in recognition of his outstanding services to the aerospace industry.
Will has had a pioneering career in space and aerospace, playing a central role in shaping the commercial spaceflight sector. As the founding President of Virgin Galactic from 2004 to 2011, he was instrumental in turning the concept of private space travel into a tangible reality.
Following his tenure at Virgin Galactic, Will continued to champion the UK space sector. He served as President of UKspace from September 2019 to September 2022, leading industry engagement during a period of rapid growth and development.
In addition to his role as Chairman of Seraphim Space, Will currently serves as Chancellor of Edinburgh Napier University and is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
