As part of the financing, Array Labs and Mitsubishi Electric have entered into a partnership to develop and bring to market satellite-based airborne tracking services for mainly defense and security customers in the Asia Pacific Region.
HawkEye 360 successfully used its satellites to geolocate a hidden environmental transmitter that was broadcasting for just 1.9 seconds on a narrow channel. The identification enabled NOAA to verify, remove and reassign the uplink position, restoring critical environmental data collection capabilities. In the process, the operation also uncovered additional dormant transmitters, creating an opportunity to refurbish and redeploy them for future environmental monitoring missions.
